GeekPol's evil twin

Well, it appears that GeekPol has been on hiatus for a couple of weeks. No sniper news, nothing about Bali, nada. Why did he miss all that juicy stuff?

Well, because the regular job has me on assignment. In Japan. And no, I'm nowhere near Tokyo, thankyewverymuch. Now aside from me being homesick, having a sick fiance alone at home while I'm only a 14 hour plane ride away (assuming a nonstop), and having the student working with me treating this PhD like I'm a walking clusterfuck, geez, I guess it's going swimmingly.
