Satan just whipped out his snowboard
He must have because I'm linking to Andrew Sullivan. It's pretty well-known now that the loons of the right oppose a vaccine for human papilloma virus (HPV), which is the main cause for cervical cancer in women, because it removes a disincentive to having sex. And, as we all know, sex is icky and no one should have it except to force a woman to carry around a bowling ball that she squeezes out after 9 months. Well, only to the right who see the consequences of sex as punishment.
Thing is, the HPV vaccine would be given to children. Small children. The ones who don't have sex, don't know about sex, don't care about sex. Suffice it to say that the fact that they got a vaccine for HPV at the age of 4 won't particularly enter the mind of a 16 year old with raging hormones. I know it's only anecdotal, but my DiPTet wasn't exactly on my mind when I finished high school.
