Use It Or Lose It

Chris Bowers at MyDD thought up the Use It or Lose It project, where safe and unopposed Dems are encouraged to transfer 30% of their cash on hand to the national party to help the people that need it.

Now then, my congresscritter is Jerry Costello (D-unindicted coconspirator). He's sitting on over $1.5 million cash on hand, and he's unopposed. Sweet deal, eh? So, going over to his expenditures page; what's this I see? $125,000 transferred to the party. Last transfer was $25K at the end of June.

Looking over the list - there's $1K directly to Melissa Bean (D-IL-8), $3K to the campaign of Brad Ellsworth (D-IN-Bloody 8th), a Baron Hill (D-IN-9) PAC for $2K, a Friends of Tammy Duckworth (D-IL-6), Leonard Boswell's (D-IA) campaign for $1K... S'ok because he's running into limits there.

Actually it looks like a good start, but he needs a bit of a noodge.

UPDATE: OK, they turned in their reports at the deadline last week, and Opensecrets hasn't gotten everything up. I know this because they list Allyson Schwartz (D-PA-Philly suburbs) there as giving $150K, and it hasn't turned up on her report yet.
