A question for Ben Domenech

Now that you've been canned, how do you get that enormous head back into that little carapace?

Must be tough.

Ben Domenech truly practices conservatism

And that's what makes what he does so wrong.

Glenn Greenwald on Ben Domenech's plagiarism...

Most Bush supporters have no behavioral standards of any kind and will defend any behavior at all -- no matter how venal or corrupt -- as long as it's engaged in by a fellow Bush supporter. Allegiance to the Bush movement outweighs every other attribute, and renders acceptable, even justifiable, even the most dishonest and reprehensible conduct.

In other words, it's not what you do but who you are that defines the rightness of your actions.

That. Is conservatism.

The most famous line John Cornyn never said

Atrios reminds us that it was Ben Domenech, new right-wing blogger at the WaPo, that came up with the line as a speechwriter for Texas Senator John Cornyn:

It does not affect your daily life very much if your neighbor marries a box turtle. But that does not mean it is right. . . . Now you must raise your children up in a world where that union of man and box turtle is on the same legal footing as man and wife.

Never said, but it was in pre-released speech copy.

I have nothing to contribute to this but a photoshop.

You're welcome.

Backpfeifengesicht of the week

Ben Shapiro, who spits on his mentors at Harvard, makes a huge leap of logic, and lands with his face deposited onto a waiting fist...

Note: After reading the article, you will understand this comment: East Germany was under Communist control, but West Germany was not, and the majority of the German population hails from West Germany. That is why Germany today is so appeasement-minded.

Yeah, I didn't exactly get the logic either.

Two things

First of all, Limbaugh seems to have gained his weight back.

Secondly, he thinks that math is for liberals, which is why he doesn't do simple arithmetic...

Now then, let's calculate that for every 100,000 in the involved population, like normal (not conservative) statisticians do.

Car accidents: 40
Falling down: 15
Poisoning: 9
Drowning: 4
Killed in Iraq: 1533

Gotta love how he desecrates the flag, too, eh?

He forgets to maintain plausible deniability.

Why Am I Not Surprised?

John McCain hired a new advisor to his PAC. His name is Terry Nelson, and he's an unindicted co-conspirator in the Tom DeLay money-laundering scheme.
